Posted on April 13, 2013 03:05 by Mr.Midnight

hello folks im running four coms networked toghether running all hardwired ,.
Im wanting to run a usb wi-fi adapter to connect to my iphone.

As i said i run all coms on hardwire , so i want to connect a usb or a nic card to the main com running FSX to connect to my iphone , is that possible.

So what im saying is running a hardwire and wifi on the same com.

Thanks.......Robert

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by COMS networked but you need WiFi to connect to the iPad.

Now if that WiFi is provided by a USB or NIC card, that's perfectly fine. You don't need WiFi on the computer, you can connect the computer to a router via an ethernet cable and have the router provide WiFi to the iPhone.

Or you can have a USB WiFi or USB Ethernet adaptor too.

In other words you need to be able to reach, via IP, the iPhone from the PC where FSX runs.

hope this helps,
kind regards,
