Plus Sign proceeds routing

Posted on August 27, 2014 14:08 by hdonner

Oops meant "precedes" in title

What is the meaning of the + preceding routing when choosing multiple route options?

i.e.

+HADLY V27 VTU V299 SADDE V107 LAX

vs

HADLY V27 VTU V299 SADDE V107 LAX

Great App - AirTrack!
Thanks for your help.

The common routes just contain the routes as they are submitted to VATSIM and IVAO servers when flying online. They may be spelt incorrectly. They are sorted by use count so the first ones for a pair of origin and destination airports are the most used ones.

I am not exactly sure what the + means in their context, but it doesn't mean anything in the Air Account flight planner. In fact it will only make the HADLY point invalid and the flight planner will be unable to decode it or V27 following.

So the correct route would be HADLY V27 VTU V299 SADDE V107 LAX

If you choose the +HADLY V27 VTU V299 SADDE V107 LAX and click on "Generate / Update Flight Plan" you will see that it fails to decode. You can then remove the + from the route path and click again and it should succeed.

fun flights,
