X-Plane 11, generic fms cdu ?

Posted on December 26, 2016 09:59 by Erikr11

Hi, all, made my first steps in xp11, think the standard fms cdu is usable for most common flights.
Would love to have the same cdu on my ipad via airfmc!
Is this in the works?
Thanks, brds Erik

Hi,

Sorry for the delay; which CDU are you referring to? The one from the new 737-NG? Or another?

fun flights,

Hi, yes the one used in the new default 737-800 ng, but i think it is also used in the default md80?!
It is is a nice and simple cdu and since it is the standaard xplane fms, it can be used in every plane?
Right now i use x-fmc, but then vnav is buggy with many planes and sometimes it gives general problems with some planes.

An other idea, duplicate the gns 530 on an ipad, would be nice too!

Thanks, brds Erik

Ah right, the default 737-800 :)

I talked about this with Laminar recently;

The bad news: it won't be possible straight away.

The good news: it will be possible sometime this year as soon as X-Plane has data refs to read the CDU screen lines added. This is on their ToDo list, but because they are busy with launching 11 and fixing bugs and all, it's not top priority.

But it will come sometime this year i.e. 2017 :)

Happy new year!
