Create a route on portal

Posted on April 11, 2020 08:38 by amirsolo

Hello,

Haversine portal does not create a route. "We're sorry, but something went wrong; please try again later and contact support if this problem persists."

Hi,

It must be a bug to a new recent upgrade of the backends software. I'll email you from support, if you could send me a screenshot of the route you're trying to create with its waypoints I can try to replicate it here and fix the problem.

Sorry for the trouble,
Joao @ haversine

Got the crash, please standby :)

Solved (I hope).

It seems that the airway M765 which you use has a point named CN (an NDB) which was coded in the AIRAC data with no latitude or longitude. This is an unexpected occurrence in the data and as such was causing a crash.

I've now added some protection to the code which won't make it crash (will just not decode the airway) and have also manually set the latitude and longitude of CN in the database so it decodes properly but in future AIRAC cycles it will go back to the unable to decode state. Your route however, once created, will retain the proper values.

I've also fixed another issue with decoding of Q13 which should be fine now.

Let me know if you notice any problems.
thanks for reporting,
fun flights,
