Frequencies for 8.33 MHz Channel Spacing

Posted on February 11, 2019 22:32 by aerotekt

Since channel spacing in whole Europe (EASA) has changed to 8.33 MHz a year ago, the provided data for the airport frequencies are outdated, as far, as Europe is concerned, because there is one more digit needed (e.z. 122.65 has changed to 122.655)
Do you think, you can upgrade this feature in the future?
At least, a whole continent is concerned, so I think, it would be a big progress.

Kindest regards, Axel

I'm afraid the airport frequencies are source in those used in the X-Plane flight simulator which don't have the extra decimal digit, so there is currently no way of reporting them as AirEFB doesn't have the new numbers. They are primarily meant to be used for flying online in networks such as VATSIM and IVAO which themselves also only use 2 decimal digits I believe.

So for now they will have to stay as they are, although as soon as the source has them with 3 decimal digits AirEFB will of course make them available too.

thank you for the suggestion,

Thank you, Joao!
Ever thought about going for 'real' flight planning?

Oops sorry, hadn't replied to this ...

Well of course, would be nice, but then we'd need real data which is not that easy to come by :)
