Is there a way to rotate the charts using the app?

Yes, it's not obvious but is there:

With the chart zoomed out using two fingers on the touch screen and rotate them clockwise or counter clockwise. This should let the page be rotated. Try a couple of times if it fails at first.

Once rotated, zoom in at will.

p.s. Another "not so obvious feature" of the charts viewer is a quick double tap which makes the chart be displayed in full screen. Double-tapping again returns to app/framed mode.
