AirFMC with JRollon CRJ200

Posted on December 3, 2014 11:47 by stenu

One problem got sorted, a new one appeared.

Just bought the CRJ-200 from the x-plane.org weekend sales. Tried AirFMC with it but the AirFMC screen just goes black. Is the latest CRJ-200 (1.5) supported?

Wasn't CRJ-200 specific problem, happened also with another plane and UFMC. I'll give updates once I can get the common pattern for this. Anyway, this is a new thing, didn't happen with my previous iPad 3 & iOS7, now I have iPad Air2 with the latest iOS.

Sorry for the delay,

About the CRJ, yes it is. Does the keyboard of AirFMC change to the one of the CRJ?

It may be because the CRJ (and the 777 and 757 from flight factor) have a slighly different way of updating the screen due to the way these planes implement it.

Basically AirFMC will try to connect to your computer's TCP port 18387 to download an HTML page (cdu.html). So if you have a firewall configured, it will block these incoming requests from the iPad. You would then need to allow these requests to come in on your firewall.

But if it also happens with ufmc then might be something else indeed.
let me know,
