Flight Plans in Air Track

Posted on April 12, 2015 15:25 by flapsup

Hi Folks. Is there anyway of adding a flight plan to Air Track, than having to manually put in each waypoint? Also, if a flight plan can only be added manually, how do you add an airway i.e. UL609
Thanks

Hi,

Are you talking about AirTrack or AirFMC? (as the forum is about AirFMC)

For AirFMC, no there isn't; or actually there might be one depending on the FMC you are using and if it allows to load a flight plan from a file or not.

For AirTrack yes there is. Use the routes page on this web site (after logging in) to create a flight plan and have it beamed down to AirTrack automatically. You can enter a flight plan as a sequence of waypoints and airways as you normally would, and can even select SIDs, STARs and approaches. When finished just save and the flight plan will translate into waypoints to be used in X-Plane.

hope this helps,
