PLAN mode not centered on plane and faster updates sim --> AirTrack

Please ignore the first part of the title: I didn't see this had been asked for and resolved.

A small request:

On an iPad Mini, an 802.11n network and X-Plane 10 it looks like the screen is updated at about .5 second intervals, which makes the screen redraw look choppy. Could you ad an option in the X-Plane plugin panel for the user to set the number of UDP transmissions per second to speed up screen redraw?

Glad you found the STP button :)

About the frame rate, could it be that the iPad mini is slower in graphics performance than the normal iPad? I will have to check.

The plugin already sends 20 update messages per second; so in an ideal world you would have 20 frames per second on the PFD and MFD. But iPads and iPhones are not that fast yet, so in general it comes down to 5-10 frames per second depending on the hardware capabilities.

.5 interval would be 2 frames per second; in which screen do you see this happening? PFD? MFD? Strange ...

Another possibility is that your network is dropping packets (congested or too much noise and interference). You may try changing the WiFi frequency (sometimes a neighbour comes and installs their router on the same frequency and there goes our network's quality) or you may try configuring the IP address of the iPad in the AirTrack's plugin menu settings in order to use only unicast and see if that solves.

Can you test it in another device to see if it is from the iPad or the network?

hope one of this helps,
there is not much else we can do as, as I mentioned, the plugin already sends 20 packets per second.

let me know,
